Download & Play
Game genre: First person exploration.
Gameplay summary: Explore and solve the requests of the robots.
Platform: Windows PC.
Engine: UE4.
Time spent on project: Nov 2020 ~ Mar 2021 (5 months)
My job role(s): All. I developed this game solo.
Operation Bubbles was made during my Cert III in Game Art Foundations.

We had to design a level, a character and an art style around a theme we chose and had to stay consistent to.
I designed a small level featuring Bubbles the giant robot, a junker you have to reanimate so it can help you escape this military yard (didn't fully finish that concept but that was the goal)
This was a study in level design and gameplay flow structure, asset production, character rigging and animation, and some basic interaction using blueprints code.

My contributions to this project:
Game design.
- This wasn't exactly a 'game', but I designed the flow, art style, characters, theme, environment.Art.
- I created all the 3D models, the giant robot, the particle fx.
- I designed and hand drew all the artwork and texturing of the models.
- I rigged the robot, did several animations for it, powering up, idle, walk cycle etc.Programming.
- I programmed a few odds & ends using UE4 Blueprints, but nothing major.Audio.
- I used text to voice to give the robots some voice dialogue.
- Sourced / created all the other SFX.

Highlights from this project:

The giant robot features hand drawn art by myself. I was exploring a similar style to Borderlands.
First character I fully modelled, rigged, weight painted, animated several clips on and used in a project.
Made in Unreal engine, usually I use Unity.
My first use of Blueprints node scripting.
